Abicuss was born in a county of Los Angeles. He moved around a lot as a youth, and as a teen lived in San Bernardino. His family was economically impoverished so due to the lack of money he spent his days listening to hip hop and writing lyrics. He sharpened his skills with various other artists he would collaborate with. At this point he found himself needing original instrumentals that he enjoyed. At 18 he moved to Texas with his DJ (bones McCoy) and crew and were able to further there creative process by building a small home studio and producing tracks. During this time abicuss and his crew would go to house parties and rap over anything that was spinning mostly hip hop and jungle. Abicuss moved back to California alone to take care of his mother and sister. He eventually was able to intern for a large studio in downtown San Bernardino were he learned how engineer and fine tune his production skills under the tuned ear of Westside Bugg at the roach motel studio’s. there he engineered songs for Westside Bugg, 40 Glocc, Mélange Lavonne, and others. He also featured on Westside Bugg's album "A Buggs Life" with Bugg and Rass Kass. During this time Abicuss produced an album entitled “Abicuss the Magna Carta” That he sold locally. . It was his magna carta because although he had produced and engineered various albums with his crew and others this was his first solo Lp. Magna carta = “trial by jury” of his peers. Abicuss now has his own studio and is associated with various producers such as Kritical aka Raw Beats that produced the bulk of his conflict of soul album that was released in 2007. Abicuss can be seen rocken shows along side of Mélange. He is currently working with Illumina Records in conjunction with The Launch Campaign that is bringing awareness and prevention to drunk driving. In the future abicuss is looking to open a record label and produce other talented artists. His goal is keeping hip hop alive and creative while bringing awareness to serious topics that he believes in. When asked can he do it he replied “I’m Abicuss the one thing u can count on”
