Beneath Betrayal is an original metal band with a throwback to thrash as Pantera would have done it. They incorporate a speed metal flow with a death metal twist. Their influences include In Flames, Behemoth, , Pantera, Soilwork, Trivium, Pre-Black Album Metallica, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Caliban, 6 Feet Under, Corrosion and Conformity, Daath, Fear Factory, The Black Dahlia Murder, Trivium, Devildriver, Chimaira, Cannibal Corpse, Slayer, Down, The Red Chord, and others. This 5 peice was founded in 2003 by Brian, Pete, and a singer named Sak. The band has undergone many changes since then. A bass player named Chris was added in 2004. Sak left the band under good terms in 2004 and was replaced with Cory. Chris left in 2005 and the band added a second guitar player, Andrew, who is still with the band today. Andrew was on lead guitars with Brian on rhythm. James joined Beneath Betrayal in 2005 on bass. When he left, Ryan was recruited to play lead guitars, Andrew moved to rhythm guitars and Brian moved to bass. Cory left the band in 2006 to be briefly replaced with Dave who also left, both under good terms. Dave was replaced by Albert in 2007 and is the newest and final member to the band. Since 2006, Beneath Betrayal has played such places as the Riverclub (Rockdale, IL), Legends Music Cafe (Addison, IL), Ye Olde Town Inn (Mt. Prospect, IL), The Nitecap (Chicago, IL), Memories (Chicago, IL), O’Malley’s (Alsip, IL), A cancer benefit at The Richards Club (Alton, IL), and the Coliseum (Mokena, IL), among others. They are very flexible on sound and lights and can work well with any sound management. Beneath Betrayal has a fan base of over 1,700 and climbing.

Ryan Dickinson – Ryan grew up in Joliet, IL and has been playing guitar for 6 years. He was previously a part of a death metal band called Tyranny in Ruin, but joined Beneath Betrayal in 2006. Ryan’s influences include The Black Dahlia Murder, Trivium, As I Lay Dying, Lamb of God, In Flames, Shadows Fall, and Pantera.

Brian Huguelet – Brian was born in Chicago, IL and then moved to Florida for a while before moving to Wisconsin at 16. At 21 he moved to Crest Hill. He has been playing guitar for 15 years but moved to bass guitar when Ryan joined the band in 2006. He was one of the original Beneath Betrayal members when the band started in 2003. Brian’s influences include Pantera, In Flames, Iron Maiden, 6 Feet Under, Corrosion and Conformity, Fear Factory, and Soilwork.

Pete Burnos – Pete grew up in Bialystok, Poland and moved to Chicago, IL in early 1995. He started playing drums in 1997. He was founding member of Beneath Betrayal in 2003. Pete’s influences include Caliban, The Red Chord, Slayer, The Black Dahlia Murder, Trivium, Devildriver, and Chimaira.

Albert Barlow – Albert is the newest member to Beneath Betrayal. He joined in July 2007 and has been an integral part ever since. He grew up in Cicero, IL. He has been singing for his entire life. Albert’s influences include Cannibal Corpse, Metallica, Trivium, 6 Feet Under, Daath, and Behemoth.
