bio
Born April 26th, 1980, BH whose real name is Robert Beck grew up in the northeast side of Philadelphia listening to such classic artists like LLCool J, Bone thugs N harmony, Nwa, and other old school hip hop artists. Since the age of 13, BH dreamed of being an established hip-hop artist. BH has worked years to perfect his craft and has put out numerous homemade mix tapes, however these mix tapes were not accepted but this did not stop BH from trying. At the age of 17 BH formed a hip hop group called the Phi 4. While the Phi 4 has a great vocal and musical chemistry, things never seemed to turn out the way they were supposed to, for years BH and the Phi 4 have tried to make it as a group but have not succeeded. At the age of 23 BH decided enough was enough and started to write independently. BH still recorded professionally with his group the PHI 4 at RMT AUDIO PRODUCTIONS, but still felt he had more to express as an artist.

It was in the beginning of 2005, when BH decided it was time to record those songs he wrote at age 23, with some minor changes, BH did just that and more. With the help of Robert Tralies, BH started recording his first solo LP “Y2PHI” at RMT AUDIO PRODUCTIONS. BH has also been featured on an Eazy-E tribute compilation album that was distributed worldwide by a former Ruthless Record employee on e-bay. The ground breaking song “Legacy” gained him instant underground exposure…but not enough. Although BH was on a compilation album with signed artists such as Tantrum, Final Outlaw, and the Back Pack Crew; BH remained unsigned, and frustrated with the empty promises that were made to him, and took some time off from the music scene.

In February of 2007 BH got married and settled down. After listening to his copy of the Eazy E tribute album BH decided to finish is Y2PHI LP. BH could not give up and decided that nothing would stop him from chasing his dream of music. In July of 2007 BH agreed to an online distribution deal as an unsigned artist with a United Kingdom based label ... With little promotion “Y2PHI” was selling steadily but not the way BH wanted, which prompted him to explore other avenues….In August of 2007 BH was contacted by a representative from Illumina Records & Promotions through my space regarding his single “Let go”, and decided to sign with them in order to get more promotion, more sales and participate in their ground control campaign Music against drinking and driving “Saving lives one song at a time”.

Y2PHI is still on sale through my space and will remain on sale until the time is right to pull it. At this point in BH’s music career, he is in the stages of promoting his new album entitled “BOOK OF BECK” which is currently on sale. BH hopes that with the help of Illumina Records&Promotins, RMT AUDIO PRODUCTIONS, and producers from Diamond Back Productions that BOOK OF BECK will take him where he wants and needs to be.
